Without risking a crippling flare-up.

I even started to feel depressed and hopeless

Which was kind of out of character for me at the time.

It felt like I was dealt a bad card and couldn’t do anything about it.

Here I was in my 20s suffering with unimaginable back pain…

X-rays, MRIs… they even did an ultrasound to check my heart…

Because on some days it felt like my sternum was being ripped apart by an invisible tiger.

I was furious.

Just to hear him tell me I was healthy.

I wasn’t healthy…

So they could run some tests and hopefully find the culprit of my strange back pain symptoms…

But when I sat down with the doctor he said something that changed the way I viewed back pain forever.

“If your pain is really due to the spinal column itself,” he said…  

“If there’s truly something there that’s causing the pain…
 
“You wouldn’t be able to lift your arms, squat or even be able to stand up.”

I was confused. 

This whole time of dealing with back pain, I was standing, walking, doing light exercise… I even rode my bike to the doctor’s office that day…

And that’s when it clicked.

I was trying to treat my spinal column…

But that’s NOT where the issue was. 

They even took an x-ray of my spine just to be sure…

And found it was “absent of a serious condition.”

Surprisingly they said my spine was almost perfect.

For 17-years I thought most back pain was caused by some sort of spine degeneration…

But that’s actually the LEAST likely cause of back pain…

And this new revelation led me to uncover the real solution to the pain that haunted me for almost two decades…

Because after that visit to the spine specialist…

And learning the problem had nothing to do with my spine at all…

Strong muscles…

And weak muscles.

When you have weak muscles in your back… your brain then sends signals to your stronger muscles to help compensate for the weaker ones…

Which basically just means your stronger muscles have to do MORE work to make up for the weak muscles doing LESS work.

And this imbalanced workload causes compensating muscle pain.

Now— your brain plays a huge role in this, too…

And I’ll explain more about that in a minute…

But for now all you need to know is your brain is constantly sending signals to your strong muscles to work harder and longer to make up for the weak muscles in your back

Basically… the strong get stronger… and the weak get weaker.

And this causes two problems

First— the weak muscles in your back won’t get stronger if the brain doesn’t “recruit” them…

And according to research published in the Journal of Exercise Rehabilitation, they’ll actually become weaker over time… 

Second— the strong muscles in your back get overworked and stressed

And just like anything else that’s pushed past its limits…

Those muscles show symptoms that they’re being overworked…

And The Symptom Is BACK PAIN…

In other words— the pain you feel isn’t taking place in the weak muscles in your back… 

The back pain is taking place in the STRONG muscles in your back…

Which is completely opposite of what most people expect when they think of back pain.

And here’s where many go wrong…

Because the solution then isn’t to get a massage for the muscles that are in pain…

Or to rub them out with a foam roller or tennis ball.

Because not only does that miss the cause of the pain…

But when you do that, you are actually strengthening the WRONG muscles.

Second— the weak player will never get any better because all he’s doing is standing there… 

He isn’t getting any practice or exercise.

As a result, the strong player has no other choice but to dive across the sand and do everything himself… 

But no matter how strong that player is, he can’t keep up that pace forever

And eventually he gets run down and sore.

So you see the solution then isn’t to make the strong player STRONGER…

It’s to make the weak player stronger…

Because after that, both players will be doing their job instead of one player trying to do two jobs at once…

You need to strengthen weak muscles in your back to take the load off the strong muscles that are working too hard.

Because your brain likes to use compensation with your muscles without you even realizing it…

Another research group wanted to see if this method would improve neck pain in 60 computer professionals who are strapped to a computer chair all day long.

They split the subjects into two groups…

The control group didn’t use any kind of back relief method…

And what they found was 0% of the control group had no pain…

While 33.3% of the squeeze and release sequence group reported no back or neck pain after adding this simple ritual to their daily routine.

Also— only 50% of the control group had mild pain…

And while 50% of the control group had moderate neck pain…
